Integrator note: the fit in the can
The 3RT2045-1AK60: It sits on a 35 mm DIN rail – screw and snap-on mounting. Depth is 152 mm, height 140 mm, width 70 mm. Leave yourself 10 mm clear upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm to the side, and 20 mm forward for air and wiring. The mounting position can rotate a full 180° on a vertical surface, plus tilt 22.5° forward or back – handy for cramped panels.
Mounting and wiring
Solid wire 2.5...16 mm² or stranded 6...70 mm² for the main circuit. Auxiliary contacts take two wires per terminal: either 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²). All screw-type – no special tools needed out in the grease. Mount it on the DIN rail, snap it on, leave those clearances. You can rotate it or tilt it per the manual – just mind the arc clearance: arcing time is 10–20 ms, so give the arc room to breathe.
