SIRIUS S3 power contactor, 20–33 VDC coil, screw terminals
It mounts via screw fixing or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, and the mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface plus ±22.5° tilt forward and backward — useful when panel layout is tight. The coil is rated 20... 33 V DC, with an inrush peak of 6.5 A and steady-state draw of 3.5 VA at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz. That 20 V minimum hold-in means a 24 VDC supply with reasonable regulation will keep it sealed; below 18 V it may drop out. Main contacts are screw-type terminals accepting solid 2.5... 16 mm² or stranded 6... 70 mm². Auxiliary contacts are present, rated 6 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, and 1 A at 110 V — enough for pilot duty on smaller PLC inputs or relay coils.
Duty-cycle and thermal limits
Switching frequency varies by duty class: 900 ops/h at AC-1 (resistive), 400 at AC-2 (slip-ring motors), 1 000 at AC-3 (squirrel-cage motors), and 300 at AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3e rating matches the AC-3 figure at 1 000 ops/h. Arcing time is 10... 20 ms, and the contactor is rated for 10 million mechanical operations typical. Operating temperature range is -25... +60 °C; storage extends from -55... +80 °C.
