SIRIUS S3 power contactor with spring-type coil terminals
The 3RT2045-3CP04-3MA0: The 77 A rating at 480 V in AC-3 duty tells you it handles standard squirrel-cage motors up to that current during starting and running — the AC-3 category covers starting and switching off running motors, so this is the number that matters for motor branch circuits. The coil connection uses spring-type terminals, which means you land the control wires without a screwdriver — push in a ferruled or solid conductor and the spring clamps it. That speeds up panel wiring and avoids the cold-flow loosening you can get with screw terminals on a vibrating contactor.
Panel fit and mounting flexibility
That means you're not locked into one orientation — useful if the panel layout forces a non-standard angle or if you're mounting on a swing frame. The forward clearance of 20 mm is the space needed in front of the contactor for arc venting — don't crowd it against the enclosure door or another device.

Wire sizing and termination
Main contact terminals accept solid wire from 2.5 to 16 mm² and stranded wire from 6 to 70 mm². The stranded range goes up to 70 mm², which is roughly 2/0 AWG — that's the wire size you'd expect for a 77 A motor circuit at 75°C termination rating.
