SIRIUS S3 power contactor, 80 mm width, screw terminals
Footprint is 80 mm wide by 140 mm tall by 152 mm deep — that 80 mm width is the key panel-space number when you're laying out a row of contactors on the DIN rail. The contactor accepts solid conductors from 2.5 to 16 mm² and stranded from 6 to 70 mm² on the main circuit; auxiliary terminals take 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). That covers most motor-circuit wiring up to the S3 frame size.
Duty ratings and switching rates
Maximum switching rates vary by duty class: 900 operations per hour at AC-1 (resistive), 850 at AC-3 (squirrel-cage motor starting), 850 at AC-3e, 350 at AC-2 (slip-ring motor), and 250 at AC-4 (plugging/inching).
