The 3RT2046-1AT60-0UA0: This SIRIUS contactor carries 96 A in AC-3 duty at 480 V — that's the motor-switching current for a 75 hp or 55 kW induction motor on a crusher or conveyor drive. Rated 20 hp at 230 V, so it covers North American 230 V three-phase motor loads up to that output.
Panel fit and wiring — S3 frame, 70 mm wide
Size S3 frame measures 70 mm wide by 140 mm tall by 152 mm deep — leaves room for finger-safe wiring duct on a standard 600 mm deep enclosure. Snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 with screw and snap-on fastening; accepts stranded power cable from 6 mm² up to 70 mm² for the main circuit. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt — useful when the panel layout forces an odd angle.
Clearance and cooling — keep 10 mm breathing room
Requires 10 mm clearance upwards, downwards, and to the side — skimp on this and the arc chute won't vent properly during a fault. Arcing time runs 10–20 ms; the contactor handles up to 900 switching cycles per hour in AC-1 resistive loads and 850 per hour in AC-3 motor duty.
