Mounting and panel integration
The 3RT2046-1NF30: Envelope is 70 mm wide × 140 mm high × 152 mm deep. The mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and can be tilted forward/backward by +/-22.5° on a vertical mounting surface. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm to the side, and 20 mm forwards.
Termination and conductor sizing
Main circuit accepts solid 2.5-16 mm² or stranded 6-70 mm² conductors. Auxiliary contacts accept 2×(0.5-1.5 mm²) or 2×(0.75-2.5 mm²) solid or stranded.
Operating cycle ratings
Switching frequency varies by duty: AC-1 (resistive) max 900 ops/h, AC-3 (motor start/run) max 850 ops/h, AC-2 (slip-ring motor) max 350 ops/h, AC-4 (plugging/inching) max 250 ops/h. AC-3e max is also 850 ops/h. Arcing time is 10-20 ms. Coil pickup at 50/60 Hz draws 3.5 VA; inrush current peak is 1.5 A.
Environmental and auxiliary specs
Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range -55 to +80 °C. An auxiliary switch is included. Mechanical life of the contactor is typically 10,000,000 operations.
