SIRIUS S3 power contactor — 96 A at 480 V, spring-coil terminals, DIN-rail ready
It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with a 70 x 140 x 198 mm footprint that fits standard enclosure backplates. The coil connection uses spring-type terminals — no screw torque check needed on the coil side, which saves a step during panel build.
Wire range and auxiliary contact
Main power terminals accept solid conductors from 2.5 to 16 mm² and stranded conductors from 6 to 70 mm², covering the range from control-circuit tap-offs to motor feeders.
Switching frequency by duty class
Maximum switching rates are specified per duty: 900 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 850 at AC-3 and AC-3e (standard motor starting), 350 at AC-2 (slip-ring motor), and 250 at AC-4 (plugging/inching). For a conveyor line running AC-3 duty at 850 ops/hour, that's roughly one start every 4.2 seconds continuous — enough for high-speed pick-and-place but not for a stamping press running full AC-4 reversals.
