SIRIUS S3 Power Contactor with 24 VDC Coil
It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715 via screw or snap-on fastening, with ±180° rotation possible on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. The S3 frame gives you 152 mm depth, 70 mm width, and 140 mm height — a compact footprint for a contactor rated for motor switching in control panels. The DC coil pulls a 6.5 A inrush peak and holds at 20–33 V rated value, with a 0.8 initial value factor. At 24 V rated value it switches 10 A; at 48 V and 60 V it handles 2 A each, and at 110 V it manages 1 A. The coil consumes 3.5 VA at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with operate times of 38–57 ms for both AC and DC, and an arcing time of 10–20 ms.
Switching Duty and Mechanical Life
This contactor is rated for different switching frequencies depending on the duty class: 900 operations per hour at AC-1 maximum (resistive loads), 350 at AC-2 (slip-ring motors), 850 at AC-3 and AC-3e (squirrel-cage motors — the typical motor-starting duty), and 200 at AC-4 (plugging/inching).
Wiring and Environmental Range
Main terminals accept solid conductors 2.5–16 mm² or stranded 6–70 mm². Auxiliary terminals take 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²) stranded. The S3 frame and screw terminals mean this contactor integrates into standard DIN-rail panels with the same wiring practice as other SIRIUS S3 units — no special tooling needed.
