Active SIRIUS S0 — 24 V AC Coil, Screw Terminals
The 3RT2325-1AC20: Rated main contact current of 16…8 A (size S0 frame) suits motor loads in the lower fractional-horsepower range — think small pumps, fans, or conveyor drives in control panels. The 10 A auxiliary contact rating at 24 V AC and 230 V AC handles PLC input feedback or pilot-duty signalling.
DIN Rail Fit and Wiring Clearances
Mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715. Dimensions are 97 mm deep, 60 mm wide, 85 mm high — standard S0 footprint that drops into existing panel layouts without re-spacing. Wiring clearances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 10 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. Main contact terminals accept stranded wire from 1 to 10 mm²; auxiliary terminals take 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75…2.5 mm²) stranded. That 10 mm² main terminal capacity covers most S0 motor branch circuits without needing a ferrule.
Nacelle-Ready Temperature Range and Life
Rated for operation from -25 to +60 °C and storage from -55 to +80 °C — wide enough for unheated enclosures in wind turbine nacelles or outdoor industrial shelters. The 10 million typical mechanical cycles mean this contactor outlasts many downstream loads before the armature wears. Mounting position is flexible: ±180° rotation on a vertical surface, plus ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. That helps when the panel layout is tight and the contactor has to sit at an angle to clear gland plates or busbars.
Coil Inrush and Control Transformer Sizing
Coil inrush current is 0.25 A at 50 Hz and 0.28 A at 60 Hz — a 24 V AC control transformer sized for 0.5 A per contactor gives headroom for the inrush without voltage sag that could cause the contactor to drop out during pick-up. Arcing time is 10…10 ms at AC (tightly controlled), with a break time of 4…16 ms. These switching times are consistent enough for coordination with upstream motor-protective breakers in a Type 1 or Type 2 coordination scheme.
