Coil and switching behaviour
The 3RT2326-1BB40-1AA0: The DC coil is rated at 24 V with a pickup threshold of 0.8 x rated value (19.2 V) and a dropout of 0.1 x rated value (2.4 V). Operating times sit at 15–18 ms closing, 10–10 ms arcing — fast enough for most conveyor and pump starts, but if you need sequenced pickups on a DC bus, watch the dropout margin at low battery conditions.
Mounting and clearances
Fastens by screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 60715. Dimensions are 60 mm wide, 85 mm high, 107 mm deep — fits a standard S0 footprint. Clearance to adjacent devices: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm forwards, 6 mm at the side, 10 mm downwards. Mounting position is standing on a horizontal surface. The auxiliary switch attaches as a side-mount block (2 contacts maximum).
Terminal capacity and wire sizes
Main contacts accept solid 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) or 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²); stranded 1–10 mm². The coil terminals use the same screw-type clamp. For a 2.5 mm² motor feeder, you have headroom on the power side; the auxiliary contacts are rated for the listed currents across DC voltages from 24 V (10 A) down to 600 V (0.1 A).
Environmental and mechanical endurance
Operates at -25 to +60 °C; storage from -55 to +80 °C. Mechanical life is rated at 10 million operations typical — that's the contactor body itself, not the auxiliary block. In a mill environment that sees 50–100 cycles per day, that endurance covers years without unplanned downtime.
