SIRIUS S0 Contactor, 24 VDC Coil
The Siemens 3RT2326-1BM40 is a SIRIUS S0-size contactor with a 24 VDC coil, screw-type terminals, and an integrated auxiliary switch. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, making it a standard panel-building component for motor control and switching applications.
Auxiliary Contact Ratings Across DC Voltages
The built-in auxiliary switch carries DC ratings that vary significantly by voltage: 10 A at 24 V and 230 V, 6 A at 60 V, 3 A at 400 V, 2 A at 48 V and 500 V, 1 A at 110 V and 690 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 0.1 A at 600 V. This spread reflects the arc-extinction limits at higher DC voltages — the 0.1 A at 600 V rating is the practical ceiling for this switch block.
Mounting and Integration
The S0 frame measures 85 mm high by 60 mm wide by 107 mm deep. It accepts screw and snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward. Clearance requirements: 10 mm upward, 10 mm forward, 10 mm downward, 6 mm at the sides.
Terminal Specifications
Main contact terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 1 to 10 mm² stranded, or 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) solid. The coil uses screw-type terminals. Mechanical life is typically 10,000,000 operations. Arcing time is 10 ms.
