Panel fit and switching capability
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2327-1BG40 is an S0-frame power contactor with a DC-operated magnet coil terminated via screw-type terminals. The S0 frame keeps panel footprint compact at 60 mm wide, 85 mm tall, and 107 mm deep — a standard slot that fits alongside other S0 accessories like overload relays and auxiliary contact blocks. Switching capacity on the DC-1 load curve is defined across the auxiliary contact voltage range: 10 A at 24 V, derating to 2 A at 48 V, 6 A at 60 V, then stepping down through 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 10 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 2 A at 500 V, 0.1 A at 600 V, and 1 A at 690 V. The coil operates on DC only, with a rated control voltage of 125 V DC; pick-up and drop-out timing falls in a 15 to 18 ms window at DC.
Mounting and clearance on the rail
These clearances matter for heat dissipation and arc flash spacing — a panel builder planning a dense rail should budget for these gaps. Up to two auxiliary switches can be attached to the contactor. The main contact solid/stranded wire range covers 1 to 10 mm² stranded; auxiliary contact terminals accept 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²) solid.
