The coil accepts 20–33 V AC or DC, drawing 2 VA at 50 or 60 Hz, with an inrush peak of 3 A. Screw-type terminals on the coil and main contacts handle solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5–1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75–2.5 mm²).
The 20–33 V coil span covers nominal 24 V systems with margin for brownout (dropout below ~18 V). AC/DC coil type means one part works across control circuits — no need to specify a rectifier or separate DC-rated variant.
Switching capacity — DC loads need attention
The main contacts carry AC-3 motor currents typical for the S2 frame, but the ledger gives specific DC switching capacities that matter for DC control or auxiliary circuits: at 24 V rated value it switches 10 A, at 48 V drops to 2 A, at 60 V recovers to 6 A, then falls to 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 10 A at 230 V (likely AC-1 resistive). If you are switching a DC solenoid or brake, verify the voltage and current against these values — the contactor is not a universal DC switch.
These are the air and creepage distances for the S2 frame — respect them for thermal dissipation and arc flash containment. Up to 2 auxiliary switch blocks can be attached (the contactor comes with one auxiliary switch fitted).
