SIRIUS Size S3 Contactor — 24 V AC Coil, Screw Terminals
The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT2346-1AC20 is a Size S3 contactor with a 24 V AC coil rated for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz operation. It carries 2 NO and 2 NC main contacts, with screw-type terminals on the coil and main circuit. The contactor mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with screw and snap-on fastening; the mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving panel builders flexibility in tight enclosures. Rated operational currents span the auxiliary contact range: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 60 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 2 A at 500 V. The mechanical life is typical 10 million cycles, and the operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C. Mounting and Clearance Requirements
The S3 frame measures 96 mm wide, 140 mm high, and 152 mm deep. Minimum clearances around the contactor are 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm at the side, and 20 mm forwards. The main circuit accepts stranded conductors from 6 to 70 mm²; the auxiliary circuit accepts solid or stranded 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). Two auxiliary contact blocks can be attached, and the contactor includes an auxiliary switch as standard.
