SIRIUS Size S3 contactor, 110 VAC coil
The Siemens 3RT2346-1AG20 is a SIRIUS-branded Size S3 contactor with a 110 VAC 50/60 Hz coil, screw-type coil terminals, and an integrated auxiliary switch. It mounts via screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, with mounting-position flexibility of +/-180° rotation and +/-22.5° tilt on a vertical surface.
Auxiliary contact ratings and what they mean for your circuit
The built-in auxiliary switch carries a rated operational current of 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 60 V, and 6 A at 230 V — all AC values. At 400 V it drops to 3 A, and at 500 V to 2 A. For DC circuits, the auxiliary contacts are rated 2 A at 48 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.9 A at 125 V. These are the contact ratings for the auxiliary circuit, not the main poles; use them to size your control-loop loads (PLC inputs, pilot lights, relay coils) without exceeding the contact's switching capacity at the applied voltage.
Panel integration and clearances
The contactor envelope is 96 mm wide, 140 mm high, and 152 mm deep — a Size S3 footprint that occupies roughly one-third of a standard 600 mm wide enclosure bay. Required clearances: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm at the side, and 20 mm forwards. Operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C; storage range is -55 to +80 °C. Mechanical endurance is rated at 10 million operating cycles typical.
