The Siemens 3RT2346-1AP60 is a SIRIUS S3 contactor with an AC coil rated at 220 V at 50 Hz and 240 V at 60 Hz — the standard line-voltage pickup for panels in 230 V regions. It mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 60715, making it a direct fit into any standard industrial enclosure without adapters.
Switching capacity and auxiliary contacts
The contactor carries auxiliary contacts and a screw-type magnet coil. Its rated switching current depends on the circuit voltage: 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 60 V, 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 2 A at 500 V, among other points. The arcing time across the main contacts spans 10 to 20 ms, which matters for coordinating with upstream fuses or breakers in a short-circuit path.
DIN rail footprint and wiring clearances
At 152 mm deep, 140 mm high, and 96 mm wide, the S3 frame occupies a standard contactor slot with room for auxiliary blocks. Minimum clearances around the device: 10 mm upwards, 10 mm downwards, 10 mm at the side, 20 mm forwards — so plan your gland plate and busbar layout accordingly.

The main power terminals accept stranded wire from 6 to 70 mm². The auxiliary and coil terminals accept solid or stranded conductors in two sizes: 2 x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) and 2 x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²).
