The AC coil uses screw-type terminals, and the power circuit accepts stranded conductors from 6 mm² up to 70 mm² — heavy enough for the main feed on a moderate motor branch. The auxiliary side handles solid wire 0.5 to 1.5 mm² or stranded 0.75 to 2.5 mm².
Clearance and fit in the panel
At 70 mm wide, 140 mm tall, and 152 mm deep, this contactor takes up a standard S3 footprint. Side-by-side mounting is allowed, with 10 mm clearance needed at the sides, 10 mm upwards, 20 mm forwards, and 10 mm downwards. That 152 mm depth is the dimension you'll need to account for behind the panel door — it's the deepest number in the envelope.
Switching capacity and ratings
Rated for AC operation, the contactor's main contacts switch 10 A at 24 V, 6 A at 230 V, and 3 A at 400 V. At 690 V it's rated at 1 A. Arcing time runs 10 to 20 ms; the magnet coil operates on AC voltage at 50 Hz with a power factor of 0.38. Mechanical life is typical at 10 million operations — that's the contactor itself, not the contacts under load.
