The screw-type terminals accept solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm², which covers the common control-wiring gauges for motor starters and auxiliary circuits.
Switching capacity and coil performance
The 24 VDC coil holds at the rated 10 A, but the contactor's switching capacity varies significantly with the load voltage. At 230 V AC it also handles 10 A; at 400 V AC it drops to 3 A; at 600 V AC it is rated 0.1 A. For DC loads, the 24 V rated value is 10 A, at 48 V it is 2 A, at 110 V it is 1 A, and at 220 V it is 0.3 A. This means the same contactor body serves both AC and DC circuits, but the actual load current must be derated for higher voltages — a common point to check when reusing this part across different line voltages.
This makes panel layout straightforward: you can pack multiple contactors tightly in a row as long as the 6 mm side gap is maintained.
