The 3RT2516-1BM40: This contactor mounts via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022, with a width of 45 mm, height of 57.5 mm, and depth of 73 mm. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with 6 mm spacing at the side; zero clearance is allowed upwards, forwards, backwards, and downwards.
Switching Ratings and Duty
For DC switching, the contactor is rated at 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 2 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 10 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, 0.8 A at 440 V, and 0.1 A at 600 V. These are the maximum continuous currents for DC loads at the respective voltages — the arc extinction capability drops as voltage rises, so the 10 A at 24 V is the high-current case, while at 600 V it's limited to 0.1 A. Maximum electrical switching frequency at AC is 10,000 operations per hour, derated to 1,000 per hour at AC-1 maximum load. DC switching has a dropout delay of 7 to 13 ms. The coil hold-in voltage range is 0.8 to 1.1 times the rated value (220 V).
Terminal capacity for solid or stranded wire: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². The auxiliary switch is included as standard.
