The 3RT2518-2AK60 is a Size S00 SIRIUS contactor, 45 mm wide, designed for screw or snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with zero spacing required upwards, forwards, backwards, and downwards; only 6 mm clearance needed at the side. This lets you pack multiple contactors in a row without derating for heat buildup in a typical control panel.
Switching ratings across the voltage range
This contactor carries a rated operational current of 10 A at 230 V AC and 10 A at 24 V rated value, dropping to 3 A at 400 V AC and 0.8 A at 440 V AC. At 600 V AC the rating falls to 0.1 A — the arc extinction capability limits the current as voltage rises, so don't assume the 10 A figure holds across the board. For DC switching, it's rated 10 A at 24 V, 2 A at 48 V and 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, and 0.3 A at 220 V. The coil connection uses spring-type terminals, which means no screw tightening — strip the wire, push it in, done. The solid/stranded wire range is 2x (0.5... 4 mm²), so it handles standard control wiring without adapters.
Maximum switching frequency at AC-1 duty is 1,000 cycles per hour; at DC it's 10,000 cycles per hour. Arcing time sits between 10 and 15 ms, with AC arcing time of 4 to 15 ms.
