Size S00 footprint and DIN-rail mounting
The 3RT2518-2XB40-0LA2: Size S00 frame keeps the panel footprint tight at 45 mm wide, 70 mm tall, 73 mm deep — fits in high-density layouts where every DIN-rail millimeter is budgeted. Mounting is screw-and-snap onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. The contactor can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface and tilted ±22.5° forward or backward, which helps when the gland plate or busbar layout forces an unconventional orientation. Clearance requirements: 6 mm at the sides, 10 mm upward, forward, and downward. That keeps the arc-chute venting and coil heat dissipation within the enclosure's thermal budget.
DC coil with spring-type terminals — wiring and control logic
The magnet coil is rated for 24-34 V DC with a 2.3 A inrush peak and 10 A holding current at 24 V rated value. The DC coil eliminates the hum and heat of an AC coil in continuous-duty applications. Spring-type terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm² solid/stranded — no screw torque check, no loosening under vibration. The auxiliary switch is integrated, saving a separate order line and a DIN slot.
Environmental range and switching duty
Operating temperature spans -40 to +70 °C, storage from -55 to +80 °C — the contactor handles unheated plant floors and hot panel interiors without derating. Arcing time is 10-15 ms, DC dropout 25-45 ms. At AC-4 maximum the contactor cycles 250 operations per hour — sized for frequent jogging or inching duty on motor loads.
