What It Is & Where It Goes
This is a Siemens SIRIUS size S0 contactor, order code 3RT2526-2XJ40-0LA2. Panel depth comes in at 107 mm, so verify your enclosure depth before committing the layout.
Coil & Control Circuit
Coil voltage is 24 V DC (type of voltage: DC). The coil connection uses spring-type terminals — no screwdriver needed for the control wiring, which speeds up panel assembly and avoids loose-terminal callbacks. Solid or stranded wire accepted: 2x (0.5 to 2.5 mm²) per terminal. The spring clamp holds firm under vibration; just strip 8–10 mm and push in. Verify your PLC output card can sink the coil inrush — the holding current is lower, but the pick-up surge matters for DC supplies.
Contact Ratings & Switching Capacity
Main contacts are rated for DC switching: 10 A at 24 V rated value, 2 A at 48 V, 2 A at 60 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.9 A at 125 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 3 A at 400 V. The DC ratings drop with voltage due to arc extinction limits — that's physics, not a derating quirk. For AC motor duty, the contactor is rated 3 hp at 230 V. Mechanical life is typical 10 million operations; electrical life depends on load category and switching frequency (max 750 cycles/hour for AC-1, AC-2, AC-3; 200 for AC-4). The auxiliary switch is included (yes), so you get a feedback contact without adding a separate block.
