Capacitor switching without surge — SIRIUS 3RT2617-1BF45
This is a SIRIUS capacitor contactor (size S00) purpose-built for switching capacitor banks in power factor correction panels. The DC coil at 110 V gives you a pickup threshold of 0.85x rated and dropout at 1.1x — so it holds in during sags but drops cleanly on overvoltage without chattering.
DIN-rail fit and wiring — 45 mm wide, screw terminals
The 45 mm width and 120 mm depth leave room alongside other S00 devices in a crowded panel. No attachable auxiliary switch blocks come with it — you add them separately if needed. That helps when the gland plate forces the contactor into an odd angle.
Switching performance and thermal limits
Maximum switching frequency is 180 1/h across the entire voltage range from 230 V to 690 V, so it handles frequent bank switching in PFC duty. That covers most indoor panel environments, including unheated warehouses.
Sourcing — active production, quoted to order
Lifecycle stage is current — Siemens still produces this capacitor contactor.
