Capacitor Switching Duty, S0 Frame
Its 24 VAC coil (rated at 50/60 Hz) pulls in the main contacts, which are rated for 6 A at 230 V and 3 A at 400 V — those are the currents you design for when the capacitor bank energizes. The S0 frame keeps the width to 45 mm, so it fits standard DIN-rail panels without crowding adjacent devices.
Screw-type terminals accept solid conductors: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm². Stranded wire range is 2x (1 to 2.5 mm²) or 2x (2.5 to 10 mm²). At 40 °C ambient, a single 10 mm² conductor is allowed; at 60 °C, two 10 mm² conductors are permitted. The arcing time is 10 ms, and the AC switching frequency is capped at 100 operations per hour across the full voltage range (230 V to 690 V).
The S0 frame dimensions (45 mm wide, 135 mm high, 155 mm deep) mean it occupies roughly the same panel footprint as a standard IEC contactor of this class.
