Capacitor switching contactor for power factor correction banks
The Siemens 3RT2626-1AK65 is a SIRIUS series capacitor contactor, size S0, designed specifically for switching capacitor banks in power factor correction (PFC) systems. Its core job is to handle the high inrush current and transient voltage when capacitors are switched onto the line — a standard contactor would weld its contacts under that surge.
The 45 mm width and 135 mm height fit standard S0 contactor spacing; depth is 155 mm. At 40 °C, a single 10 mm² conductor is permitted; at 60 °C, two 10 mm² conductors.
