RC suppression for S00 contactor coils — 9 mm clip-on
The 3RT2916-1CF00: This is the Siemens SIRIUS RC surge suppressor designed for the S00 contactor frame — 9 mm deep, 28 mm wide, 46 mm tall, and clips onto the contactor without extra DIN-rail space. Rated for AC control supply voltage 400-600 V at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, the RC element snubs the inductive kick from the contactor coil each time it de-energises. Without it, the collapsing field can couple back into the control transformer or trip a downstream PLC input — this part holds the transient below the coil's dielectric withstand. Mounting position is unrestricted, which matters when the contactor sits in a tight panel where orientation is dictated by busbar routing or cable entry.

Operating temperature range -25 to +60 °C covers most control-panel environments; storage range -40 to +80 °C accommodates warehouse conditions without special handling.

This suppressor is sized for the S00 contactor frame — it snaps onto the coil terminals of Siemens 3RT2.1 contactors and 3RH2 auxiliary contactors. It does not fit larger S0, S2, S3, or S6 frames; those use a different suppressor order code. The RC element is polarity-independent for AC coils, so orientation on the A1/A2 terminals is not a concern. Verify the coil voltage matches the suppressor's 400-600 V AC rating before installation.
