It mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, with screw and snap-on fastening, and can be rotated ±180° on a vertical surface or tilted ±22.5° forward/backward — useful for tight enclosure layouts. Rated insulation voltage is 690 V, and motor power ratings reach 18 kW at 230 V, 31 kW at 400 V, and 54 kW at 690 V (all at 60 °C ambient). The 110 VDC coil draws 13.3 W closing and holding power, with a pick-up current of 6 A at 24 V and 1 A at 110 V.
Screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary/control circuits accept 2x (0.75–16 mm²) solid or stranded conductors (2x 18–2 AWG). Minimum cross-section at 40 °C is 16 mm²; at 60 °C it derates to 10 mm². Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so multiple contactors can pack tightly on the rail. The auxiliary switch extension is available as a product option, allowing add-on contact blocks without rewiring the main circuit. Dimensions are 55 mm wide, 112 mm high, 130 mm deep — the S2 frame fits standard panel cutouts and leaves room for wiring ducts alongside.
Maximum switching frequency varies by duty: 1,200 operations/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 1,000 ops/h at AC-3 (motor starting), 250 ops/h at AC-4 (inching/plugging), and 1,500 ops/h at DC.
