The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT5036-1AP00 is a Size S2 power contactor with screw-type terminals for the main and auxiliary circuits. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022 and accepts up to 2x 16 mm² conductors. Rated insulation voltage is 690 V, and the contactor is rated for AC-3e switching up to 690 V. Motor power at 400 V and 60 °C is 38 kW; at 690 V and 60 °C it reaches 66 kW. The operating temperature range is -25 to +60 °C, with storage from -55 to +80 °C.
Mounting and integration
Fastens with screws or snaps onto a 35 mm rail. Side-by-side mounting is allowed without derating. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward or backward. Dimensions: 112 mm high, 55 mm wide, 115 mm deep — that 55 mm width is the same as many SIRIUS S2 contactors, so it drops into existing panel layouts without re-spacing.
Switching performance and auxiliary options
Rated for 5 000 operating cycles per hour at AC, with AC-1 maximum 1 000 1/h, AC-3 maximum 800 1/h, and AC-4 maximum 300 1/h. The contactor supports an auxiliary switch extension (product extension auxiliary switch: yes), so you can add side-mounted blocks for feedback or interlocking without modifying the main wiring.
