What this contactor delivers
The Siemens 3RT5036-1AP20 is a SIRIUS power contactor in size S2, rated for AC-3 duty at 22 kW at 400 V — that's the motor-switching rating that matters for a 3-phase induction motor up to that load. The 240 V AC 50/60 Hz coil pulls in cleanly across the standard control voltage found in most European and Asian panels. Three main poles, screw terminals, and a footprint that snaps onto 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022.

Mounts via screw and snap-on to 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022. Width is 55 mm, height 112 mm, depth 115 mm — size S2. Side-by-side mounting is permitted without derating for the AC-3 rating, but for AC-1 or high-duty-cycle applications check the thermal curves. Screw terminals accept 2x (0.75…16 mm²) solid/stranded or 2x (0.5…1.5 mm²) fine-stranded with ferrules. Auxiliary contact blocks can be added on top (the contactor has no built-in aux contacts).
