What this SIRIUS S6 contactor carries
The Siemens 3RT5056-6AU36 is a SIRIUS power contactor in Size S6, rated for 210 kW at 690 V at 60 °C — that's the headline number for a mill motor driving a fan or pump at 690 V three-phase. At 400 V the same contactor handles 121 kW, and at 230 V it's good for 70 kW. The insulation voltage is 1000 V, so it sits comfortably in a 690 V panel with headroom for transient spikes. The coil is suppressed with a built-in varistor, which saves you wiring an external snubber across the coil terminals. Mounting is screw-fixing with a vertical surface; you can rotate the contactor ±90° or tilt it ±22.5° front-to-back, which helps when the panel layout is tight.
Integration — panel and wiring
Footprint is 172 mm high × 120 mm wide × 170 mm deep. The main circuit uses screw-type terminals accepting 95 mm² at both 40 °C and 60 °C, or AWG 4 to 250 kcmil. That's enough for the power feed to a 210 kW motor.
