SIRIUS S12 Power Contactor, 380-420 VAC Coil
The Siemens 3RT5076-6AV36 is a SIRIUS S12 power contactor with a 380-420 VAC 50/60 Hz coil, screw-type main terminals, and an integrated varistor surge suppressor. It's rated for motor loads up to 624 kW at 690 V (at 60 °C) and 362 kW at 400 V (at 60 °C), making it a heavy-duty unit for large motor control centers, pump stations, and compressor drives. The S12 frame size and screw fixing mean it's a panel-mounted part, not a DIN-rail snap-on — plan for direct panel integration with the 225 mm depth and 214 mm height.
The 690 V rating at 60 °C (624 kW) is the headline number, but the real-world duty cycle lives in the AC-3 and AC-4 switching frequencies: 420 operations per hour maximum for AC-3 (motor starting) and 130 ops/h for AC-4 (plugging/inching). If your application cycles faster than that, the contactor's electrical life drops — the 10 million mechanical cycles are only achievable at lower switching rates.
Side-by-side mounting is supported (no derating gap required), which saves panel width. Main terminals accept AWG 2/0 to 500 kcmil — that's substantial cable, sized for the 370 mm² minimum conductor cross-section at 60 °C. The screw-type terminals are field-proven for high-current connections; no special crimping tools beyond standard lugs. The varistor surge suppressor is built in, so no external RC snubber needed for coil suppression on AC control circuits.
