The 3RT5926-1BB00 is a SIRIUS varistor-type surge suppressor designed to clamp voltage transients across the coil of a Siemens contactor. Mounting is clip-on to the contactor itself, fitting sizes S0 through S3, and it can be installed in any position. That means you add transient protection without eating up DIN-rail space or reworking the panel layout — it snaps onto the contactor's own coil terminals. The varistor element absorbs the inductive kick when the contactor coil de-energises, protecting downstream PLC outputs or pilot relays from voltage spikes that would otherwise exceed their rated withstand.
