On-Delay Pneumatic Timer for 3RT5 Contactors
The 3RT5926-2PA11 is a pneumatic time-relay block designed to mount on Siemens 3RT5 motor contactors in sizes S2 and S3, adding an adjustable on-delay function to the contactor's switching sequence. The delay is set via a pneumatic mechanism with an adjustable pickup delay time of 10 to 180 seconds, providing a timed interval between coil energisation and the switching of the delayed contacts.
Contact Configuration and Wiring
The block provides one normally-open (NO) and one normally-closed (NC) delayed-switching contact, giving a single-pole changeover function on a timed basis. Connection to the auxiliary and control circuit is via screw-type terminals, a standard termination method for panel wiring that accepts ferruled or solid conductors. For short-circuit protection of the auxiliary switch, the manufacturer specifies a gG 10 A fuse rated for an assumed short-circuit current of 1 kA per IEC 60947-5-1 — this must be included in the branch circuit feeding the timer block.
