Siemens SIRIUS 3RT6015-1AB02 — Size S00 Power Contactor, 24 VAC Coil
Its 24 VAC 50/60 Hz coil (rated 0.25 A at both frequencies) pulls in the main contacts rated for AC-3 and AC-3e duty up to 690 V.
Motor Power and Switching Rates
At 60 °C ambient — the upper end of the -25 to +60 °C operating range — this contactor handles motor loads up to 6 kW at 230 V, 10.5 kW at 400 V, and 18 kW at 690 V. Those are the derated figures a panel designer uses for continuous duty in a warm cabinet. The mechanical switching rate is 10,000 operations per hour, but the electrical maximums are duty-dependent: 1,000/h under AC-1 (resistive), 750/h under AC-3 or AC-3e (standard motor start/run), and 250/h under AC-4 (plugging/inching). The AC-3 and AC-3e limits are identical, so no special derating for the 'e' variant of the duty class.
Coil and Auxiliary Contact Ratings
The 24 VAC coil draws 0.25 A at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, so a standard 24 V control transformer sized for that load will hold it. The integrated auxiliary contacts — rated 6 A at 24 V, 10 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 1 A at 690 V — cover feedback to a PLC or status indication without an add-on block. The 1 A rating at 110 V and 0.3 A at 220 V cover lower-voltage control circuits.
Main circuit terminals are screw-type, accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm² solid or stranded copper. The minimum permissible cross-section at both 40 °C and 60 °C is 2.5 mm² for the main circuit, which sets the minimum wire size for the power path.
