SIRIUS Size S00 power contactor — 110 V coil, 690 V AC-3 rated
The 3RT6015-1BF41: At 400 V and 60 °C ambient, the contactor handles 10.5 kW motor output; at 690 V the same condition yields 18 kW.
DIN rail mounting and panel layout
Mounts on 35 mm standard rail per DIN EN 50022 using either screws or the snap-on foot. Side-by-side mounting is permitted with no de-rating gap, so the 45 mm width per pole stacks directly.
Switching frequency and mechanical endurance
Rated for 30 million mechanical operations typical — this is the contactor's service life before the armature assembly wears. The electrical switching frequency depends on the duty: 1 000 cycles/hour at AC-1 (resistive), 750 cycles/hour at AC-3 (motor starting), and 250 cycles/hour at AC-4 (plugging/inching). For DC switching the rate is 10 000 cycles/hour, reflecting the lower contact erosion from DC arcs at the rated currents. The 30 million mechanical figure means the contactor outlasts most machine design lives at normal switching rates — a conveyor running 10 cycles per hour sees 87 600 cycles per year, so the mechanical life exceeds 340 years. The practical limit is the electrical endurance at the actual load current, not the mechanical count.
Coil data and auxiliary switch provision
The contactor accepts an auxiliary switch block (product extension auxiliary switch: Yes), so a single part covers both main and signal switching without a separate relay. At 230 V the coil draws 10 A inrush; at 400 V it draws 3 A; at 690 V it draws 1 A. These are the pick-up currents at the respective control voltages — the holding current is lower, but the control transformer must be sized for the inrush peak, especially on long control cable runs where voltage drop during pick-up can cause the contactor to chatter.
RoHS compliance date is 05/01/2012, so the part meets the EU RoHS directive for substances of concern. The insulation voltage is rated 690 V, matching the AC-3/AC-3e maximum operating voltage.
