Siemens SIRIUS 3RT6018-1AD01 — Size S00 Power Contactor
The S00 frame is compact — 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm tall, 73 mm deep — so it fits standard panel layouts without crowding adjacent devices. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, which keeps multi-contactor motor starter groups tight. Main power circuit uses screw-type terminals accepting 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm² solid or stranded conductors. Minimum wire gauge at 40 °C is 4 mm²; at 60 °C it drops to 2.5 mm² — the higher ambient derates the current-carrying capacity, so the larger conductor at lower temperature is what you spec for a warm enclosure.
AC-3 motor switching is rated up to 690 V maximum. The 13 kW at 400 V 60 °C is the typical duty point for a 400 V three-phase motor in a conveyor or pump application — that's the number to match against your motor nameplate. AC-4 (plugging/inching) is limited to 250 switching cycles per hour, while AC-3 allows up to 750 cycles/hour; if your application does frequent reversing, the AC-4 limit is the binding constraint. Auxiliary contacts rated 6 A at 24 V, 1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, and 10 A at 230 V AC — enough for pilot-duty control of a PLC input or a smaller contactor coil. The 24 V DC rating (6 A) is the one to check if you're switching a DC control circuit; the AC ratings are higher but don't apply to a DC loop.
Mechanical life typical of the contactor is 30,000,000 operating cycles. Electrical life depends on the switching category and current; the AC-3 maximum is 750 cycles/hour.
