What it is and what it does
The Siemens 3RT6018-1BW41 is a SIRIUS power contactor in size S00, rated for motor switching up to 13 kW at 400 V at 60 °C and 22 kW at 690 V at 60 °C, with a 48 V coil. It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022 via screw and snap-on fastening. The AC-3 and AC-3e rated voltage maximum is 690 V, covering standard three-phase motor loads up to that line voltage. The coil draws 6 A at 24 V rated value and 0.3 A at 220 V rated value, so control transformer sizing needs to account for inrush.
Mounting and integration
Snap-on mounting onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility in tight enclosures. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so multiple contactors can pack closely on the rail. Screw-type terminals for both main and auxiliary/control circuits. Accepts 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²), or 2x 4 mm² solid/stranded, plus 2x AWG 12. Minimum permissible cross-section at 40 °C is 4 mm², derating to 2.5 mm² at 60 °C.
