SIRIUS S0 power contactor – 3RT6028-1AH00
The Siemens 3RT6028-1AH00 is a SIRIUS S0 power contactor with screw-type terminals for main and auxiliary circuits. It snaps onto a 35 mm DIN rail (EN 50022) and occupies a 45 mm wide footprint — a single modular device slot in a standard panel layout. Rated for motor loads at 60 °C ambient: 15.5 kW at 230 V, 27.5 kW at 400 V, and 47.5 kW at 690 V. The AC-3 and AC-3e maximum voltage is 690 V, covering common 400 V and 690 V line supplies without derating the voltage class.
Mounting and panel fit
Fastens by screw or snap-on onto 35 mm DIN rail per DIN EN 50022. Side-by-side mounting is permitted — zero gap between units saves rail space, though thermal derating should be checked when packing multiple contactors in an enclosure. The mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward, giving flexibility in tight cabinets. Dimensions: 85 mm high, 45 mm wide, 97 mm deep. The 45 mm width is the same as a standard miniature circuit breaker footprint, so it fits in a typical 45 mm pitch DIN-rail layout without overhang.
Switching capacity and coil data
Mechanical endurance is 10 million operations typical. Maximum switching rates: 5 000 1/h at AC, 1 000 1/h at AC-1, 750 1/h at AC-3 and AC-3e, and 250 1/h at AC-4. The AC-4 rate matters for plugging or inching duty — if your application reverses or jogs the motor frequently, stay under 250 operations per hour. Coil draws 6 A at 24 V rated value, 10 A at 230 V, and lower currents at higher control voltages (1 A at 110 V, 0.3 A at 220 V, 3 A at 400 V, 1 A at 690 V). The coil power supply must be sized for the inrush; a 24 VDC supply feeding multiple contactors should account for the 6 A per device at pickup.
