Product details

The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT6926-5AC21 is a replacement magnet coil for size S0 motor contactors — the ones rated up to 18.5 kW on a 400 V line. It's the part that pulls the main contactor in, so if the coil's gone open, the contactor won't pick up. Coil voltage is 24 V AC at both 50 Hz and 60 Hz, with an operating range of 0.8 to 1.1 times rated voltage at 50 Hz, and 0.85 to 1.1 at 60 Hz — that means it'll hold in down to about 19.2 V at 50 Hz, and drop out below that. Typical power draw is 10.5 VA, so it's light on the control transformer. Screw terminals for the connection; same footprint as the original coil on any S0-frame SIRIUS contactor.

The coil mounts directly onto the contactor's magnet yoke; no DIN rail space consumed beyond the contactor itself. If you're replacing a coil in a live panel, isolate the control circuit first — the coil draws 10.5 VA holding, but inrush at pickup is higher (around 37 VA typical for the S0 family). The operating range (0.8 to 1.1 x Un) means a saggy control transformer at 20 V might still hold it in, but below 19 V it drops out. Keep the control voltage clean.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I buy 3RT6926-5AC21 and what is the lead time?

This coil is sourced to order through independent distribution. Availability and current pricing are confirmed at quote time against an RFQ.

What does the 0.8... 1.1 operating range at 50 Hz mean?

It means the coil will pick up and hold in when the supply voltage is between 80% and 110% of the rated 24 V AC — so from about 19.2 V to 26.4 V. Below 19.2 V it drops out.
