Size S00 — the 45 mm frame that fits tight panels
The 3RT7014-1AB02: At 45 mm wide and 72 mm deep, this S00-frame contactor slides into the same DIN-rail footprint as other S00 accessories — auxiliary contact blocks, surge suppressors, and the matching overload relay all snap on without stealing extra rail space. That covers most panel layouts without derating.
That low holding draw means the PLC output driving it sees minimal steady-state load — useful when running a bank of contactors from a single 24 VDC supply. Main and auxiliary circuits use screw-type terminals. Surge voltage resistance is 6 kV — enough for industrial environments with pollution degree 3.
Switching rate and fuse coordination — the real-world limits
Maximum switching rate in AC-3 duty is 750 operations per hour, and in AC-4 it drops to 250 per hour. AC-3e matches the AC-3 rate at 750 ops/h. For a conveyor that cycles every 30 seconds, that's well within the envelope; for a fast-indexing pick-and-place, watch the AC-4 limit. Fuse coordination: type 2 (no damage to the contactor on a short circuit) requires a 20 A gL/gG NH 3NA fuse. Type 1 (contactor may need replacement after a fault) allows a 35 A fuse. This matters when designing the upstream MCCB or fuse selection for selectivity. Shock resistance is 9.8g at 5 ms and 5.9g at 10 ms — adequate for most industrial panels but not for heavy rotating machinery mounted directly on the machine frame.
