The AC-3 rating means it's designed for switching squirrel-cage motors — the most common induction motor load in industrial panels — up to those currents. The 690 V rating covers 480 V and 575 V line supplies common in North American and marine installations. The control coil is AC-powered. Closing power draw is 0.8 W DC; holding power drops to 0.27 W DC. That low holding power means the coil runs cool in a sealed panel — less heat to manage in a crowded DIN-rail row.

If your application cycles faster than 250/h under reversing loads, this contactor will overheat.
