It has three main poles for switching three-phase loads and an AC-operated magnet coil. The control supply voltage type is AC, so it is intended for panels with an AC control transformer or direct line-voltage control circuits. Rated operational current in AC-3 duty (squirrel-cage motors) is 6 A at 230 V, 3 A at 400 V, and 1 A at 690 V. These ratings define the motor load it can switch: up to roughly 2.2 kW at 400 V three-phase. The IP20 protection on the front and terminals means it requires an enclosure for dust and moisture protection, typical for panel-mounted gear.
Side-by-side mounting is permitted, so multiple contactors can be ganged without spacing. Dimensions are 45 mm wide, 57.5 mm high, and 72 mm deep — the 45 mm width matches the standard S00 footprint, fitting alongside other SIRIUS components on the rail. The screw-type terminals on both main and auxiliary circuits accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid/stranded or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) finely stranded with ferrule.
Coordination & Auxiliary Contacts
For type of coordination 1 (no damage to the contactor under short circuit), the required fuse is gL/gG 35 A. For type of coordination 2 (contactor remains usable after clearing), the fuse is gL/gG 20 A. This matters when designing a motor branch circuit for selectivity or restart capability after a fault. The product extension for auxiliary switches is available, meaning add-on blocks can be snapped on for additional N.O./N.C. contacts. The main contacts are 3 N.O. with no N.C. main contacts. Coil power consumption is 0.8 W closing and 0.27 W holding at DC, which is low enough for direct PLC output drive with a suitable interposing relay. The magnet coil closing power at DC is 0.8 W, holding power 0.27 W.
Environmental & Mechanical Limits
The contactor withstands sine-pulse shock of 9.8g at 5 ms and 5.9g at 10 ms, adequate for most industrial machinery but not extreme mobile equipment. Maximum switching frequency is 750 operations per hour in AC-3 and 250 in AC-4.
