Sizing and fit for the panel
The Siemens 3RT7025-1AG00 is a size S0 contactor with three normally-open main poles, rated for AC-3 switching up to 690 V. The 45 mm width and 91 mm depth fit a standard 35 mm DIN rail (DIN EN 50022) with screw and snap-on mounting.
What the AC-3 and DC-13 ratings mean
The 6 A at 230 V and 3 A at 400 V for the auxiliary contacts define the control-circuit capacity — enough to drive a small contactor or indicator lamp string. For DC loads, the DC-13 rating of 0.3 A at 220 V covers solenoid valves or DC coil holding circuits common in furnace or process controls. The 800 cycles per hour at AC-3 and 250 at AC-4 set the mechanical switching rate — AC-4 (plugging/inching) is more severe, so the lower limit protects the arc chamber.
Screw terminals for both main and auxiliary/control circuits accept up to 2x 2.5 mm² solid or ferruled stranded wire. The IP20 finger-safe terminal covers protect against accidental contact — standard for enclosed panels. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt, giving flexibility in tight enclosures. The 0.82 W closing power and 0.24 W holding power of the AC coil keep thermal dissipation low inside a sealed cabinet.
