Panel fit and wiring
The 3RT7026-1AP05 is a 3-pole contactor in the S0 frame size, with three normally-open main contacts and screw-type terminals for both main and auxiliary circuits. It mounts on 35 mm DIN rail per EN 50022, using either screw-fixed or snap-on fastening. The 55 mm width and 91 mm depth fit a standard 8-module DIN rail slot; side-by-side mounting is permitted with no derating gap. Terminals accept 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²) stranded, with finely stranded wire requiring core-end ferrules. The IP20 finger-safe enclosure on the front and terminals means it can sit in a panel without additional shrouding.
AC-3 motor switching and coil draw
Rated for AC-3 duty up to 690 V, this contactor switches three-phase motor loads at up to 800 cycles per hour (AC-3e maximum). The AC-4 rating is lower at 250 cycles per hour, which governs plugging and inching applications. The DC coil draws 0.82 W during closing and holds at 0.24 W — a low holding power that keeps heat rise minimal in a dense panel. The auxiliary switch extension is supported (product extension auxiliary switch: Yes), so you can add a side-mount block without changing the contactor footprint. Contact reliability is specified for PLC-level signals (17 V, 5 mA), meaning the auxiliary contacts can switch low-energy logic inputs without stiction.
Environmental and compliance
Operating temperature range is -10 to +55 °C; storage range is -25 to +70 °C. Pollution degree 3 (industrial environment). Shock resistance is 12.5g for 5 ms and 7.8g for 10 ms on the AC sine pulse. The insulation voltage is rated 690 V with a surge voltage resistance of 6 kV. Mounting position allows ±180° rotation on a vertical surface and ±22.5° tilt forward/backward — useful when the contactor must fit an angled sub-panel. The part carries no NC main contacts; all three poles are NO.
