Panel fit and mounting constraints
The 3RT7026-1AV00: The IP20 finger-safe front and terminals mean no additional shrouding is needed for operator access areas.
Switching duty and contact ratings
The 3 NO main contacts handle the motor circuit; the contactor is rated for 800 switching cycles per hour at AC-3 maximum, dropping to 250 cycles/h at AC-4 (plugging/inching). Auxiliary contacts are rated for PLC-level reliability at 17 V, 5 mA — meaning the same contactor can switch both power and low-level control signals without a separate interface relay. Surge voltage resistance is 6 kV, supporting coordination with upstream surge protection devices.
Coordination and protection planning
For type 1 coordination (contactor may need replacement after fault), the fuse rating is 80 A. These values let the panel designer size the branch circuit protection without over-fusing. The magnet coil draws 0.82 W during closing and 0.24 W holding at DC — the low holding power reduces heat buildup in dense panels.
