The Siemens 3RT7045-1AQ00 is a SIRIUS 3RT contactor in size S3, with three main poles and three normally open main contacts. It is rated for AC-3 duty up to 690 V maximum operating voltage, making it suitable for switching three-phase motor loads in control panels. The AC coil draws 0.27 A at 50 Hz and 0.31 A at 60 Hz. Mounting is via screw and snap-on onto 35 mm or 75 mm standard DIN rail. The front face carries an IP20 rating; the terminal area is IP00. Side-by-side mounting is permitted, which helps when packing multiple contactors in a row on the rail.

Mounting position allows +/-180° rotation on a vertical surface and +/-22.5° tilt forward/backward. Main and auxiliary/control circuits use screw-type terminals. Wire sizes accepted: 2x (0.5 to 1.5 mm²) solid or stranded, and 2x (0.75 to 2.5 mm²). The auxiliary switch product extension is supported.

Mechanical switching frequency: at AC-3 maximum 800 operations per hour, at AC-4 maximum 250 operations per hour. Auxiliary contacts are rated for PLC-level control at 17 V, 5 mA. DC-13 rating at 220 V is 0.3 A.
