Panel-space constraint: 9 mm depth on a clip-on
The 3RT7916-1BF00 adds just 9 mm depth to the contactor assembly — it clips directly onto the coil terminals of a 3RT7 S00 contactor without consuming a DIN rail slot or increasing width beyond the 28 mm of the base contactor. Mounting position is unrestricted, so it works in horizontal or vertical panel layouts without derating.
Varistor design for AC control circuits
This is a metal-oxide varistor (MOV) surge suppressor, not an RC snubber. It clamps voltage transients on the AC control supply (400–600 V, 50/60 Hz) to protect the contactor coil and the PLC output driving it. Rated for both 50 Hz and 60 Hz networks, the same variant covers 400 V and 600 V class installations — no need to stock different suppressors for different line voltages within that range.
