The Siemens SIRIUS 3RT7916-1CB00 is an RC-type surge suppressor designed to plug directly onto S00-frame contactors in the 3RT7 series. It's the snubber that clips onto the coil terminals — no wiring, no DIN-rail real estate lost. The RC element absorbs the voltage spike when the contactor coil de-energizes, protecting nearby PLC outputs and 24 VDC supplies from inductive kickback. At 9 mm deep and 28 mm wide, it adds almost nothing to the contactor footprint; the clip-on fastening means it snaps into place on the contactor body itself.
Clip-on fastening — no screws, no tools. It snaps onto the contactor's coil terminals. That covers most industrial enclosure conditions short of direct heat-source adjacency. The 9 mm depth and 46 mm height keep it inside the contactor silhouette — no projection beyond the S00 frame.
