The relay mounts directly to a contactor via the fastening method (contactor mounting), saving DIN-rail space in the panel.
This Size S00 overload relay occupies a 45 mm wide footprint and is designed for contactor mounting — it clips directly onto the matching SIRIUS contactor, eliminating a separate DIN-rail position. The mounting position allows a vertical mounting surface with +/-135° rotation and +/-45° tilt to the front and back, giving panel builders flexibility in tight enclosures. Clearance requirements: 0 mm upwards, forwards, and backwards; 6 mm at the side; 0 mm downwards — essentially zero-gap stacking when mounted on the contactor.
Both the main current circuit and the auxiliary/control circuit use screw-type terminals. The main circuit accepts solid conductors: 2x (0.5...1.5 mm²), 2x (0.75...2.5 mm²), and 2x 12 AWG. The auxiliary circuit accepts 2x (20...16 AWG) and 2x (18...14 AWG). Finely stranded conductors with core end processing are supported with the same cross-sections.
Environmental and Approvals
Relative humidity tolerance up to 100 % during operation. Shock resistance rated at 8g for 10 ms. The relay carries DMT 98 ATEX G 001 type of protection for use in potentially explosive atmospheres. Surge voltage resistance rated at 6 kV.
