The Siemens 3RU1116-0JB0-ZW95 is a SIRIUS thermal overload relay in Size S00, with a CLASS 10 trip curve. It mounts directly to a contactor (fastening method: contactor mounting) and protects three-phase motor circuits against prolonged overloads. The IP20 finger-safe front (touch protection against electrical shock) and ATEX approval (DMT 98 ATEX G 001) make it suitable for use in hazardous-area motor starter enclosures where the SIS architecture demands a thermally protected motor branch. Rated for an operating temperature range of -20 to +70 °C and storage/transport range of -55 to +80 °C, with 100 % relative humidity during operation. Shock resistance is 8g for 10 ms. The relay withstands a surge voltage of 6 kV.
Integration & Mounting
Dimensions: 45 mm wide, 87 mm high, 78 mm deep. Clearance requirements: 0 mm upwards, 0 mm forwards, 0 mm backwards, 0 mm downwards, 6 mm at the side. The mounting position allows a vertical mounting surface with +/-135° rotation and +/-45° tilt to front and back.
Terminal & Wiring
Main current circuit terminals and auxiliary/control circuit terminals are screw-type. Solid and finely stranded with core end processing: 2x (0.5... 1.5 mm²) and 2x (0.75... 2.5 mm²). For AWG auxiliary contacts: 2x (20... 16) and 2x (18... 14).
Auxiliary Contact Ratings
Auxiliary contact current ratings vary by voltage: 1 A at 24 V, 3 A at 120 V, 2 A at 230 V, 1 A at 400 V; also rated 0.22 A at 110 V, 0.22 A at 125 V, 0.11 A at 220 V.
